Love is in the Air!

The Cambria Film Festival showcases classic and new romance and romantic comedies (including feature films and shorts) in an intimate film festival set in a small seaside village. Across its four days, eleven feature films and more than thirty shorts will be screened in four small venues. Other than two classic films, all showings were selected from more than 1500 entries submitted for consideration from around the world.

Most films are shown at two different times, but in small theaters of 100 or fewer seats. Priority seating is provided to holders of Festival Passes. Individual tickets are sold on site 15 minutes before the showing, based on available seating. To ensure seeing all films that interest you, we recommend purchasing the Festival Pass.

Variety called this documentary “a touching valentine to the way movies really get made.” This is the true romance of storyboard artist Harold Michelson and his film researcher wife Lillian. Together they helped shape the movies from the 1940s on, but it is Harold and Lillian’s love story that will touch you. If you don’t believe us, trust the words of their Hollywood admirers such as Mel Brooks, Francis Ford Coppola, Danny DeVito and others, who all participate in this beautiful, deeply engaging salute to love. A mix of love letters, film clips, and candid conversations, this film offers a moving portrait of a marriage and a celebration of the hidden talents that help shape the films we love.
